Eleven Recruits Rob Bagot

Rob Bagot has joined San Francisco-based Eleven in the new position of group creative director. For the past six years, Bagot has made the integration of large creative departments his calling card -- first at OgilvyOne, New York, where he directed over $400 million of integrated work on IBM, to most recently at McCann Worldgroup S.F., where he oversaw creative across McCann, Momentum and MRM for the Microsoft account. At Eleven, he reports to ecd and founder Rob Price.

Scott Howe's Fortunes Take a Turn

Turn Inc. has added Scott Howe, an industry veteran and former vp of Microsoft Advertising Business, to its board of directors. Howe also served as president of Atlas International and vp, gm of Avenue A/Razorfish. "Scott is widely recognized as an accomplished leader in digital marketing. He has deep experience scaling fast-growing technology companies as well as expertise in online advertising and enterprise software," said Bill Demas, CEO at Turn. "His depth of knowledge on both the buy and sell side makes him an invaluable advisor." While leading Microsoft Advertising, he managed global revenue and cost responsibility of $2.6 billion annually across all emerging businesses related to online ads.

Burnett Exec Joins A&G

Allen & Gerritsen in Watertown, Mass., has hired former Leo Burnett staffer Neil Cleary as vp, director, audience intelligence and brand planning. Cleary has spent over 15 years developing strategy for world-class brands including BMW, Unilever, British Airways, AT&T, McDonald's and Walmart. Most recently, he held the position of vp, planning director Burnett in Chicago. His other agency stops include Rodgers Townsend and Grey.

JWT Advances Matt MacDonald

The New York office of JWT has promoted cd Matt MacDonald to ecd, with oversight on the Macy's and Diageo accounts. The office now has about a dozen ecds, each of whom functions as a group head. MacDonald joined the WPP Group shop as a copywriter in 2003 and became a cd in 2007. Beyond Macy's and Diageo, he has worked on JetBlue, DeBeers and L.L. Bean, among other brands. "Matt has a passion for the work as well as a knack for pushing the limits, while still staying true to his clients' needs," said David Eastman, JWT's North American CEO. "He has consistently exceeded expectations and become a powerful creative senior talent on our team."

Brian Tierney Moves to Mullen

Brian Tierney, the writer and lead creative director on Garmin's Super Bowl and "Give a Garmin" holiday campaigns, has joined Mullen in the role of svp, creative director. Tierney, whose other notable work includes the launch of BMW's Minis Cooper and Burger King's "Fantasy Ranch " TV spot, is the latest new hire in Mullen executive creative director Mark Wenneker's creative department. In addition to Garmin -- which he worked on at both Fallon and at his own eponymous agency -- Tierney's brand experience includes Harley-Davidson, Porsche, Apple, Target, Budweiser, Pepsi and Citibank. His agency credits, beyond Fallon, include full-time stints at Crispin Porter + Bogusky, Carmichael Lynch and Martin Williams. "Mullen isn't just another agency with their sights set on being great," said Tierney. "They're proving it with the hires they're making and the business."

Doremus Welcomes Analytics Pro

Doremus, has hired Jason Luis to head the agency's analytics and marketing operations department. It is a new position. Though based in San Francisco, he also oversees analytics services for clients at Doremus offices in New York and London. Prior to joining Doremus, Luis held a similar post at Black Bag Advertising, where he built the analytics and marketing operations department. There, he developed CRM programs for Del Monte, Pacific Coast Feathers and 24 Hour Fitness. He also acted as a consultant to develop online marketing plans that encompassed paid search.

KickApps, a social content management system company, has launched a social media strategy division to be run by 20-year industry veteran. Independent Wieden + Kennedy in Portland, Ore., has hired Jeff Gillette as integrated creative director. He joins from Google Creative Lab, where he served as a cd for two years working on Chrome, YouTube and other initiatives. Also, the agency veterans Karl Lieberman (shown) and Ryan O'Rourke have been promoted to creative directors. The former is a copywriter, the latter an art director. They work on many of the shop's key accounts.

Before that, they were vps and cds at Hill, Holliday, where they managed all aspects of the Verizon Wireless retail business.

Gerard Caputo joins Crispin Porter + Bogusky in Miami as group creative director after a stint at DDB, New York. Before that, he spent four years at BBDO, also in New York, where he worked on Pepsi, Mountain Dew, eBay, Dodge, Motorola, Target, Monster.com and FedEx. In 2008, he received an Emmy nomination for the FedEx Super Bowl spot "Pigeons." Said Crispin ecd Ari Merkin: "Gerard is a spectacular creative at the top of his game. Miami couldn't be happier. Doron Wesly Joins Mindshare

Doron Wesly has been named leader of business science and planning at Mindshare North America, a new position. Mindshare is part of WPP's GroupM, which also includes Maxus, MEC and MediaCom. Wesly will oversee customized market research and analytics initiatives for Mindshare clients and serve as chief liaison with the agency's client teams for all research as it applies to media plans and programs. He leads a 25-person team. Prior to joining Mindshare, Wesly was global media director for Cheil Worldwide.

GSD&M Idea City has hired Carrie Hines as vice president, account director on the Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen account. Hines brings to the position a profile of strong experience in the casual dining, quick-service restaurant and spirits categories. Hines comes to Omnicom's GSD&M in Austin, Texas, from Slingshot of Dallas, where she held the title of group account director and was responsible for a portfolio of accounts including Joe's Crab Shack and several Brown-Forman spirits brands including Finlandia Vodka, Southern Comfort and Woodford Reserve. Prior to that, she held positions at Publicis, Bates and The Zimmerman Agency.

2 CDs Join TBWA\C\D in N.Y.

TBWA\Chiat\Day has added two creative directors to its New York office: Sue Anderson, who'll lead creative efforts on the Absolut account, and Lisa Topol (shown), who'll oversee work on Pernod Ricard's Kahlua and Mars' Twix -- accounts that the agency added in June and April, respectively. On Absolut, Anderson fills a vacancy left by the December exit of Rob Baird; the Kahlua/Twix position is new. Previously, Topol has worked at the New York offices of JWT (on clients such as JetBlue, Smirnoff, Schick, Nestle), Wieden + Kennedy (Nike, Sharp, Jordan, ESPN) and Ogilvy & Mather (Sprite, Motorola, Miller Lite). Anderson's previous experience includes the Amsterdam, the Netherlands office of Wieden (Coca-Cola, Honda, Lego) and TBWA\Hunt\Lascaris in Johannesburg, South Africa (BMW, Land Rover, South African Airways). TBWA\C\D New York now has three cds. Each reports to chief creative officer Mark Figliulo.

Digital Strategist Joins Deutsch/LA

Paul Pedrazzi has left the client side to become director of digital strategy at the Marina del Rey, Calif.. office of Interpublic Group's Deutsch. Previously, Pedrazzi was a vice president of product strategy at Oracle Corp., where he steered a unit that developed social media software (AppsLab). Before Oracle, Pedrazzi was senior director of technology strategy at PeopleSoft. At Deutsch, he'll report to Jeffrey Blish, a partner and chief strategy officer. His position is new.

Mediabrands Names Chief in China

Interpublic Group's Mediabrands has appointed Jimmy Poon to the new post of CEO of Mediabrands Ventures in China. Based in Shanghai, Poon will be responsible for directing Mediabrands' expansion in the country and will oversee China divisions of The Lab and marketing consultant unit Greenhaus. He will reporting to Matt Freeman, CEO Mediabrands Ventures. Previously Poon held positions with a number of shops within the Asia Pacific region, including DDB, Tribal DDB and Rapp Collins. "Jimmy has an extraordinary understanding of the market and will be a critical player in helping us accelerate our growth in China and across broader Asia Pacific," said Matt Freeman, CEO, Mediabrands Ventures.

Miami-based Crispin Porter + Bogusky has hired Greg O'Neal as an account director on its Microsoft assignment. Prior to joining Crispin, he was a client partner at Razorfish, where he oversaw strategy and led some of the agency's most innovative work. He has partnered with clients such as Kraft, AT&T, Mattel, Morgan Stanley and Unilever on everything from launching e-commerce platforms to developing multichannel advertising and social media programs.

San Francisco independent Hoffman/Lewis has hired Miles Turpin as senior creative director. Turpin most recently led creative on Land Rover at Young & Rubicam. Before that, he was with BBDO, Saatchi & Saatchi and Team One, working on major auto brands like Lexus and Toyota, among others. "Miles is a real catch," said Sharon Krinsky, president and chief creative officer at Hoffman/Lewis. "I've admired his work and have followed his career for a long time."
